I tried to make it fairly realistic. Obviously I would like HSR absolutely everywhere, but a line through middle of nowhere Montana probably would not see much ridership and would come at extreme cost (especially in the mountains).

You put a single line to service the entire West Coast and have two lines running through West Virginia, and the only way to get from any West Coast location to any East Coast location is to route it through San Diego and then either Florida or through the South? And yet you put a special line to connect two cities in Canada?
This map doesn’t make any fucking sense tbh.
Also, tell me you have no idea how much traffic goes through the northern states without telling me you have no idea how much traffic goes through the Northern states. Nobody goes to Montana, but a lot of people go through Montana.
