Yeah, that’s still fine. A role model isn’t someone you emulate 100% of the time. It’s someone you had or do look up to on certain things. I work in the games industry and had the privilege to work with a few famous designers, they embraced crunch culture, and were clearly still in the late 90s mind set. I still am inspired by their works and think of them as good designers though.
