Personally, i’m not that worried about Chelsea’s attackers, Sterling is their biggest threat based on form but Miss Jackson and whoever they can start on the right doesn’t really worry me considering how solid our defence has been, especially away from home.
At least on paper though, a midfield of Enzo, Caicedo and Gallagher could be tougher than Nunes, Kova & Silva but if we start Partey, Rice & Odegaard i think we can bully them physically.
I think Chelsea stats have been inflated by the fact that they have quite literally had the easiest schedule of any team in the league so far.
We need to approach this game cautiously, but we are the favourites and we should be winning this game. I’ll take another 1-0 to the arsenal for this one
Our entire midfield is available so it will be very interesting to see who starts. In a “tough” away fixture logic would dictate Partey 6 and Rice as box to box.
Partey back means Martin should be unlocked again since he has the sweg sweg to shake men off and find that forward pass in a press.
Partey and Raya playing would mean total freedom in the buildup and strategy of beating the press. Play it out or ping it over. We were seeing it against City but now we can be unpredictable and adaptable to the game. Also especially since Martinelli should start allowing another long ball outlet.
I’m getting ridiculously excited to see hopefully pretty much our 1st choice 11 if Saka is fit.
I don’t know if I am normal but i would much prefer someone to address a problem they have with me directly or to be confrontational if they felt something was wrong, but, this year I keep encountering situations where people are saying one thing to my face but harboring a different set of feelings when i am not around. I don’t know if this is a ‘me’ problem, like perhaps people are afraid of confrontation with me because I am a strong personality, or maybe its just the norm for people to be conflict avoidant and I am being unrealistic by expecting people to be direct with how they feel. Sorry for the rant, but like 5 different social situations have happened this year that make me feel like people either just don’t respect me enough to be honest about their feelings, or maybe that is just my ego and i should stop taking it personally.
Are you able to have this conversation with them? If you’re worried about them being intimidated or whatever, you could try to approach the situation with a lot of kindness and calmness, even if the situation itself is not necessarily warranting that from you. Generally it’s much easier for people to not be confrontational, which can suck because people then just harbour bad feelings instead of resolving them. I hope you’re keeping well mate.

In response to what you wrote, it’s difficult to say without knowing you and the other people. Perhaps they are conflict avoiding, perhaps you seem intimidating or perhaps you could somehow communicate better in the sense that you might pick up signals there is a disconnect between what people say and feel. Could be cultural even.
I’ll address it directly…this doesn’t belong here.

Zinchenko away to Spurs and home to United is one of the best back to back performances I’ve seen an Arsenal player produce especially considering the magnitude of both games
