Yeah, it’s super finicky, It also took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to download from the search results. This is cool though, I’m really stoked I finally got this working!

I had tried to set up slskd a month or two ago and was on the verge of tears trying to get it configured. I decided to give it another go, and it actually seems to be working now! We’ll see once it gets my files indexed, but the fact that it even found my files is progress. So, uh, thanks for reminding me!
And yeah, it will absolutely be a game changer for me as well. I can’t leave my laptop running all the time, but my raspberry pi is a different story.
Maybe I’m just built different because c-diff doesn’t affect me that much. For me, it’s melena, because I literally still smell it for hours after my shift has ended.
Also, while maybe not the worst smell, one of the somehow more disturbing ones was when an intestinal blockage patient belched and it smelled like a fart… which basically it was.
Welcome! I’ve been using the offical SoulseekQT client pretty much forever, occasionally (and always very briefly) giving Nicotine+ a spin. I use Linux, but I actually use the Windows client with Wine because the native Linux client is somewhat less than optimized, to be very diplomatic. I also changed the UI quite a bit to match pretty closely to my system. As of today, I’m also trying out slskd, and liking it a lot.
