It’s actually kind of hard to find. In a perverse kinda way, I think the site doesn’t really want you to find this area because some brands get really crappy reviews from owners, and I think Edmunds doesn’t want to upset these brands.

Monterey Car Week, and the Porsche Rennsport Reunion totally spoiled me. The LAIAS truly seemed boring by comparison. No Porsche, BMW, Audi, Alfa, Lambo, Rolls, Ferrari…you see all those cars in Monterey.

I even saw Frank-Steffen Walliser less than two months ago at Laguna Seca not 10 feet from me. LA really lost something with the auto show this year.

Brilliant idea. Cars aren’t about chasing max speed anymore. They’re about the experience. When your hot hatch has over 601 hp on tap, you can afford to cut the power for simulated gear shifts and still go very quickly.

Honestly, I think BMW and Audi may already be exploring this kind of experience, but we’re waiting to see if there’s demand for it. Hyundai had the courage to do this crazy thing, and others will follow.

The cheapest 991 models are base convertibles with PDK, without sport chrono, over 50k miles. This isn’t a base, or a convertible, so right away, it’s suspicious.

It’s like when guys spend 5 figures on artisanal turntables with McIntosh tube amps and $1,000/foot gold cables all for sound that’s 1 % better than what a CD would provide for 1/10 the cost.

I drove a Mustang with the 10-speed auto, it was garbage. The car was fast, but the shifting was constant and annoying.
